Sono stati finalmente annunciati i vincitori della trentaquattresima edizione dei Saturn Award e non sono mancate le sorprese. Il Saturn Award è uno dei premi più ambiti nel campo del fantastico cine-televisivo e alcuni dei nomi scelti in questa edizione lasciano alquanto perplessi.
Nella categoria miglior film horror Sweeney Todd ha prevalso su parecchie altre pellicole che a mio avviso erano sia qualitativamente migliori che, cosa più importante, più appartenenti al genere di quanto lo sia l’ultimo lavoro di Tim Burton, mentre nulla posso dire su Enchanted che ha vinto per la sezione fantasy in quanto non conosco l’opera.
Meritatissimo il premio a Cloverfield mentre stupisce quello dato a Will Smith come miglior interprete maschile (Io sono Leggenda) in un anno che ha visto molti attori sfornare buone prove in altri titoli. Le nostre congratulazioni a Guillermo del Toro per il George Pal Memorial Award.
Lost ha ovviamente fatto incetta di premi nella sezione televisione mentre se si volesse fare una ideale classifica per compagnie di produzione avremmo la Disney in cima con ben 6 trofei, quindi Paramount con 5 e Warner Bros con 4.
